Indoor pickleball ladder leagues
in St. Louis
Gateway Smash is built by players, for players. It started as an answer to the corporate leagues in St. Louis: high fees, inconsistent play, and disorganized management. It is volunteer-run, and every dollar goes to court rental, not to salaries. Matches are indoors at Arch Pickleball, so a forecast never cancels a night. Running on free tools is what keeps the fee down, and all skill levels play.
Inclusive and player first
Players range from 2.0 to 4.0+. If you are still working out where to stand there is a pod for you, and if you are chasing a 4.0 there is a pod for that too.
How the ladder works
You play three doubles matches a night in a pod of four, partnering with each of the other three once. Elo ratings update weekly, so pods stay close to your level, and beating someone rated above you moves you the most.
Off the court
The WhatsApp group carries announcements and the after-match conversation. Scores go to the Gateway Smash club page on Global Pickleball Network.

- Day: Sunday nights
- Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
- Court time: Two hours, split between three league matches and an hour on two social courts
- Location: Arch Pickleball, Bridgeton
- Courts: #1–#8 and #10, 7 league courts and 2 social (#2 and #8)
- Cost: $70 for the eight-week season
- Roster: 56 players, first come first served
- Registration: A 24-hour window from the date in the schedule, or less if the roster fills first
- Skill levels: 2.0 to 4.0+
